If your answer is no, don’t feel sorry or archaic. During the holiday season, rumors on upcoming phones are usually hushed to boost mobile phone sales ’til year end .
Major players in the mobile industry have put their best foot forward by releasing the latest and most high tech phone they got. So why let the sales go down the drain?
But as soon as 2014 kicks in, rumors on upcoming phones will also start grillin’ and smokin’ . Two upcoming road shows will start 2014 with a bang- the CES trade show come early January 2014, followed by the second wave of the even-more mobile-focused Mobile World Congress (MWC) in late February.
We already have the Moto X, LG G2, Nokia Lumia 1020, BlackBerry Z30, the iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C and the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3, what is there left to wait for?
Here is the latest buzz on the upcoming phones in the mobile industry. There are seven potential upcoming phones which we should be keeping our eye out for over the next few months and surely this list will grow and change after the coming two big trade shows of 2014.

The Amazon Phone
Yes! Amazon is working on a phone. The company said it will not come out with a smartphone in 2013, but, of course, 2013 is almost over. Rumors talk not only of one phone, but two phones that will be released next year. There is so much noise around the Amazon phone that it’s tough to really ignore.
- One of them will have a simulated 3D user-interface created by tracking the user’s head position.
- The other phone, Amazon’s new Fire OS, with a simple interface and “Mayday” customer service, shown on the Kindle Fire tablet on the right.

BlackBerry Z50 and Q30
Blackberry will not stop selling phones next year. Their two major upcoming phones are Z50—a larger touch screen phone, and the QWERTY keyboarded Q30.

But release of Q30 is still on the rocks because this new phone was conceptualized by Thorsten Heins, ex-CEO of BlackBerry. Now the ballgame is on the hands of the new CEO, John Chen . He might continue to release the phones—or he could scrap the whole line and turn BlackBerry into a software company. We’ll definitely hear this on May 2014.
HTC Two (M8)
HTC’s flagship HTC One or M7 is now almost a year old. It is really a high time for HTC to upgrade one notch higher – the “HTC Two,” . Although it is a.k.a ” HTC M8″ , many have coined it the “HTC One Two” or the “HTC One+.”

LG G Flex
The first ever “curved” smartphone will probably be the LG G Flex, since Samsung has no plans as of the moment to release their upcoming phones ,which is the Samsung Galaxy Round series.
So what’s with the curve? Display experts says the curved screen actually delivers a purpose: to reduce reflection and makes images more visible.

Verizon Wireless Motorola Moto G
As a Thanksgiving gift, Motorola released the GSM version of the low-cost Moto G phone on sale. In 2014, Motorola is again giving us the Verizon Wireless CDMA version .

Samsung Galaxy S5
This is a Samsung flagship phone, and there’s no stopping them from getting better and bigger for their upcoming phones. Reports say that Samsung is introducing its new line- Samsung Galaxy F .It is exchanging out its traditional plastic shell for a metal frame.
For Samsung Galaxy S5 , it will not follow the flex trend on screen display but an AMOLED display. It is a diamond pixel arrangement which is the most lucrative component on Samsung’s flagship devices.

The Yotaphone is an interesting phone. It lives by it’s “Always On” ability via it’s Electronic paper display. From missed call and messages, meetings , and reminders, it will stay on the phone’s screen display until the user deletes it. Yotaphone’s dual-screen, e-ink allows users to change the phone’s wallpaper and use a personal one. This phone is also an e-reader , where users can read in bright sunshine.

Who’s not on the list of upcoming phones?
Two of the most well know phone creators are not on this list of
– Windows phone and Apple phone.
There will be exciting announcements at Mobile World Congress (MWC). But reports says that for Windows, upcoming phones will be for upscaled Nokia Lumias only. For Apple, no upcoming phones for iPhones until September 2014.
